If you own a European trade mark registration (or indeed have filed a European trade mark application) then you should consider utilising the UK Intellectual Property Office's 'opt in service'

By opting in (at a cost of 50.00) the UKIPO will notify you if any third party files a UK trade mark application which is similar to your EU trade mark registration/ application

You can then make the decision as to whether you formally oppose the application in an attempt to have it thrown out
