If you own a European trade mark registration (or indeed have filed a
European trade mark application) then you should consider utilising the UK
Intellectual Property Office's 'opt in service'
By opting in (at a cost of £50.00) the UKIPO will notify you if any third
party files a UK trade mark application which is similar to your EU trade mark
You can then make the decision as to whether you formally oppose the
application in an attempt to have it thrown out
